Transport & Roadside

Every vehicle counted.
Nobody photographed.

Traffic and roadside audience data usually means number-plate cameras and retained footage. DisplayPulse counts and classifies vehicles on-device and discards the video — rigour without the surveillance baggage.

The problem

Vehicle data usually comes with an ANPR anxiety attached.

Roadside operators want traffic counts and impression data — not a number-plate database, retained footage, or a data-protection headache. Most vehicle-detection systems weren't built with that separation in mind.

  1. 01
No plate reading, ever DisplayPulse classifies vehicle type — car, van, bus — it does not perform ANPR or store a plate.
  2. 02
No retained footage Video is analysed on the device and discarded immediately; only anonymous counts sync to the cloud.
  3. 03
Still rigorous Hourly, peak and dwell-style traffic analytics without a single identifying record in the system.
Privacy & edge, first-class

The footage never exists. Only the numbers do.

Camera → on-device AI → video discarded → anonymous counts → cloud dashboard. No plates, no faces, no images stored, anywhere in the chain.

What you can measure

Vehicle count and type, roadside audience, all classified on-device.

Vehicle count & type

Cars, vans and buses counted and classified as they pass — hourly, peak-hour and dwell-style traffic analytics.

Roadside audience

Counted vehicles converted into impressions for roadside and forecourt screens — real-time and verifiable.

Multi-site rollup

Traffic across every counting point rolled up into one estate-wide view, from Insights upward.

Fleet reliability

Roadside units are remote hardware in exposed conditions — health monitoring and silent updates keep them counting.

A transport interchange at rush hour, commuters as anonymous motion
Presence, not identity

Rush hour, resolved into one honest number.

the blur is the point — this is exactly how much of you the system keeps

Know who — and connect your stack

£24per device / month

Turn footfall into audience — who they are, how long they stayed — and feed it straight into whatever you already use. People and passing vehicles.

Transport, answered plainly

Does DisplayPulse read number plates?

No. DisplayPulse counts and classifies vehicles by type — car, van, bus — it does not perform ANPR or store any plate, image or identifier. Video is analysed on-device and discarded; only anonymous, aggregate counts leave the unit.

How does vehicle counting help roadside DOOH or transport reporting?

Counted and classified vehicles convert into impressions for roadside and forecourt screens, and into traffic analytics (hourly, peak, dwell) from Insights upward — a complement to established DOOH currencies like Geopath and Route, not a replacement.

Does DisplayPulse store faces or recognise individuals?

No. All AI runs on the device at the edge. Video is analysed locally and immediately discarded — only anonymous, aggregate numbers ever leave the device. No images are stored and no individual is identified. It is anonymous by design and GDPR-ready.

Can DisplayPulse measure vehicles as well as people?

Yes. From the Connect plan up, DisplayPulse counts and classifies passing vehicles (car, van, bus) and converts them into impressions for roadside and DOOH screens — a complement to Geopath/Route currencies with real-time verification and triggering.

Count every vehicle. Photograph none.
