People counting & occupancy

The door-counter that
never sees a face.

Count everyone through the door — in and out — and hold a live occupancy figure against capacity. Accurate, directional, and processed entirely on the device.

01How door detection works

Count the doorway, hold the occupancy

Door detection at every entrance: each person crossing the doorway is detected and tracked directionally — in or out. Aggregate every door and the live occupancy is simply everyone in minus everyone out, against your capacity.

  • Directional in / out at every door
  • Hourly & peak footfall
  • Live occupancy vs capacity
  • Multi-door aggregation to one figure

02Occupancy & capacity

A gauge your ops team can act on

Occupancy sweeps green to amber to red against the limit you set — a live operational tool, not just a report. Use it for safe-capacity limits, queue triggers, and knowing the exact moment a space is filling up.

  • Green / amber / red capacity thresholds
  • Live spaces-remaining
  • Peak-hour heatmap for planning

Each door counts entries, not unique people — someone in twice counts twice, which is exactly right for capacity. A single unique-visitor figure across a whole venue would mean recognising the same person from camera to camera — and that breaks the anonymous-by-design promise. So we don't offer it.

03Accuracy & privacy

It counts you. It never keeps you.

Every frame is analysed on the device and discarded — only anonymous counts leave. No faces, no images, GDPR-ready.

  • Processed on-device, frames discarded
  • No faces stored, anonymous by design
  • Methodology & accuracy disclosed in every report

What sets it apart from a plain door-counter

DisplayPulse Average door-counter
Directional in / out at the door often uni-directional
Live occupancy = ins − outs add-on / separate sensor
Edge-private — no image leaves the device cloud upload common
Runs on a display you already own dedicated sensor + cloud fee
Same platform adds demographics, vehicles, fleet counting only

Count everyone. Store no one.
