Retail & Shopping Malls

The window pays rent now.
Prove it earns its keep.

Every retailer knows their online funnel to the click. Almost none know their door — how many passed, how many looked, how many walked in. DisplayPulse turns your entrance into a funnel you can actually read.

The problem

Footfall guesswork, and devices that go dark without anyone noticing.

Store visits are reported by gut feel, POS conversion is measured against an unknown denominator, and screens or sensors quietly drop offline for days before anyone in head office spots it. Both problems compound: you can't fix what you can't see.

  1. 01
No real denominator Conversion rate means nothing without a trustworthy footfall count underneath it.
  2. 02
Silent device drift A sensor or screen goes offline in a low-traffic store and nobody notices for a week.
  3. 03
Store-vs-store blindness No consistent way to compare footfall, dwell or conversion across a portfolio of sites.
What you can measure

Everything from footfall to fleet health, in one dashboard.

People counting

In/out counts per door, hourly and peak, occupancy by count — the footfall number your conversion rate has been missing.

Demographics

Aggregate age band and gender mix, processed on-device — know who's coming through the door without storing a single face.

Attention & dwell

How long shoppers linger at a window or display, and whether they engage — signal for merchandising and window campaigns.

Occupancy

Live "how many are in the store right now" for safe-capacity and staffing decisions, no extra hardware per till.

Fleet health

Every sensor and screen monitored, updated and fixed remotely — no store manager ever has to reboot a box again.

The door was chapter one. Now read the whole store.

A sensor per area — the door, each aisle, the tills — and every area reports its own footfall, dwell, age % and gender %. Group them into stages and the dashboard shows where traffic concentrates, which aisle holds people longest, and who shops where.

  • Reach, dwell, age % & gender % — per aisle, per area
  • Stage view: entrance → aisles → checkout
  • Built-in insights: top traffic area, dwell outliers, dead hours
  • Aggregate areas only — never individual paths

Retail, answered plainly

Do I need to replace my in-store cameras?

Not necessarily. DisplayPulse runs on the LamasaTech AI Processing Unit paired with the PulseSight Vision Sensor, or on the SoC of a DisplayPulse display at the door or window. Many retailers start with one measurement point per entrance.

Can head office see every store from one place?

Yes — fleet management and footfall dashboards roll up across every site and area from Fleet upward, so a regional or head-office view is standard, not an add-on.

Is DisplayPulse a content management system (CMS)?

No. DisplayPulse is the measurement and management layer that works alongside whatever CMS you already use. We measure the audience and manage the devices; we never schedule or design the content on your screens.

Does DisplayPulse store faces or recognise individuals?

No. All AI runs on the device at the edge. Video is analysed locally and immediately discarded — only anonymous, aggregate numbers ever leave the device. No images are stored and no individual is identified. It is anonymous by design and GDPR-ready.

How is DisplayPulse priced?

Per device, per month, with fleet management included in every plan. Plans are Fleet (£4), Count (£9), Connect (£24), Insights (£39), Intelligence (£59). There are no site or location limits, and pricing is published transparently up to 299 devices; larger estates are quoted through an enterprise agreement.
